I Can Never Thank You Enough

Ganda nitong kantang ito.

Here's a link to the video: You Take Me Back by Jeremy Camp

The reason why I stand
The answer lies in You
You hung to make me strong
Though my praise was few
When I fall I bring Your Name down
But I have found in You
A heart that bleeds forgiveness
Replacing all these thoughts that have overtaken me
But I know that Your response will always be

I'll take you back always and
Even when your fight is over now
I'll take you back always and
Even when the pain is coming through
I'll take you back

You satisfy this cry
Of what I'm looking for
And I'll take all I can
And lay it down before
The throne of endless grace now that radiates what's true
I'm in the only place that
erases all these faults
That have overtaken me
But I know that Your response will always be

I'll take you back always and
Even when your fight is over now
I'll take you back always and
Even when the pain is coming through
I'll take you back

I can only speak with a grateful heart
As I'm pierced by this gift of Your Love
I will always bring an offering
I can never thank You enough

You take me back always and
Even when my fight is over now
You take me back always
Even when my pain is coming through
You take me back

Chair of St. Peter

Today, 22 February 2010, we celebrate the Chair of St. Peter.
In his first letter, Peter reminds as of how to be a leader by being a servant.

Reading I
Beloved: I exhort the presbyters among you, as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed. Tend the flock of God in your midst, overseeing not by constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly. Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

The first Pope then reminds us that servanthood (or service to God) is done with one's heart; not out of obligation. Also, we should set the example. Ourselves should be the example; and not that we would lord over our flock.

Once a leader, always a servant.
